If you’ve ever been the person responsible for planning a team event, you know how it goes. You need something that works for thirty people with completely different interests, fits a budget someone else set, and doesn’t feel like one more mandatory evening out. The usual options in Regina are fine, but fine tends to produce the kind of event where half the room is checking their phone by 7:30 and the other half leaves early.
We think a full buyout at Infinite Golf solves a lot of that, and we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible to plan.
Why golf works for mixed groups
A golf simulator is a surprisingly good equalizer. The golfers on your team will be thrilled, obviously. They get to play real courses in the middle of winter and finally prove to the office that their handicap is legit. The people who haven’t swung a club since a mini golf birthday party tend to have a great time too, because a simulator event is as much about the atmosphere as it is about the golf.
There’s always something happening. Someone is lining up a drive, someone is cheering for a lucky chip-in, and someone else is sitting in the lounge catching up with a colleague they never get to talk to at work. It’s social without being forced, and nobody is stuck making small talk with nothing else to do.
With five bays running at once, you can keep a big group moving. Rotate teams through the bays, run a scramble, set up a longest drive or closest-to-the-pin contest, or skip the structure entirely and let people play at their own pace.
How events work at infinite golf
All events at Infinite Golf are full venue buyouts by default, which means your group has the entire space to itself. There are no strangers in the next bay and no sharing the lounge. If you’d like something smaller than a full buyout, just mention it when you reach out and we’ll talk through options.
Here’s what a buyout includes:
The entire venue, including all five bays: two private rooms and three open bays
Space for up to 40 guests
Lounge seating throughout, with our warm, low-lit clubhouse atmosphere
Left and right-handed setups in every bay
Pricing is $250 an hour Monday to Thursday and $350 an hour Friday to Sunday, with a two-hour minimum.
To give you a sense of scale, a three-hour Thursday evening event costs $750. If 30 people come, that’s $25 per person for three hours of golf with the whole venue to yourselves. A two-hour Saturday event for 40 guests comes in at $700, or $17.50 per person. For a team event, those are numbers most budgets can live with.
To lock in your date, we take a 50% non-refundable deposit at booking, and the remaining balance is due seven days before your event.
Your event can happen whenever works for your team
This is where Infinite Golf stands apart from anywhere else in the city. We’re open 24 hours a day, so your event doesn’t have to squeeze into a Thursday at 6 p.m.
If your team works shifts, you can plan something right after the late shift ends instead of asking people to come back on their day off. If you want to kick off a big quarter with a morning session before the workday starts, you can do that. If your holiday party usually runs late, it can keep going. We built Infinite Golf around the idea that golf should fit your schedule, and events work the same way.
Food and drink
You’re welcome to bring your own food, which gives you a lot of flexibility. Order from your team’s favourite local spot, bring in catering, or keep it simple with pizza and snacks. However you want to feed people is up to you.
We do need to be clear on one thing: Infinite Golf is not a licensed venue, so no liquor is allowed on site. Non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. For a lot of teams, this ends up being a plus. Everyone can drive home, nobody has to keep an eye on who’s had one too many, and people remember the event the next day.
What kinds of events work well here
Pretty much anything where a group of people wants to spend a few hours together without it feeling like a meeting. A few that fit especially well:
Team building and staff appreciation
Client entertainment
Holiday parties
Year-end and project wrap celebrations
Sales kickoffs and team offsites
Birthdays and private celebrations
If you’re entertaining clients, the private club feel of the space does a lot of the work for you. It’s comfortable, it looks good, and it gives you a few relaxed hours with the people you’re trying to build relationships with.
Planning your event
Before you reach out, it helps to have a few basics in mind: your preferred date and time, roughly how many people you’re expecting, and how long you’d like to book. Events have a two-hour minimum and a 40-guest cap.
Then think about format. Some groups want a friendly competition with teams, scoring, and bragging rights. Others just want open play and a relaxed night. Both work well, and we’re happy to help you figure out which one suits your group.
Finally, sort out food. Since it’s bring your own, decide who’s ordering, when it’s arriving, and how many people you’re feeding.
